Job Title: Assistant Director - Wardrobe Operations & Design
Job Duties: • Pioneer the uniform design and production for the pre-opening / post-opening and replenishment orders that includes garments, footwear, millineries and accessories. Liaising closely with all department heads and designers in the line of business, procurement, operations teams, and the uniform manufacturers on an ongoing basis to achieve the best outcome. • Manage the whole uniform designs flow from creating and visualizing an idea by computer-aided drawing (CAD) to a ready-to-wear item through managing the professional fabrication development, such as producing patterns, grading, draping, cutting and sewing from prototype making to mass production, that include fitting, detailing and adaptations. • Effective and efficient management of the department logistical operations to ensure high standard of uniform presentation is maintained without any disruption to the business. This includes all uniformed staff to be provided with clean and fresh uniforms as required. • Identify design and production challenge with appropriate strategies to overcome them. • Oversee the sourcing, selecting and buying of fabrics and material trims, fastenings and embellishments by understanding the specification and function of the material fulfill the appearance, operation and safety needs. • Create design sketches and tech packs for uniforms also includes costumes that needed in the special events and festivals to assist to provide an extraordinary branding and service. • Monitor uniform manufacturing process, production schedule and quality control, ensure to deliver high quality services in a dynamic manner. • Manage the uniform inventory and ensure the department budget is in line and achieve the maximum profitability of all facilities and services by monitoring costs and expenses. • Lead and maintain a 5 star and superior image for the company, by coordinate with all department heads and employee relations to ensure the “Looks” and style of all uniformed staff are appearance professional by providing company grooming guidelines and trainings. • Development and continuous improvement of Wardrobe departmental training programs fostering the career development of all team members. • Ensure all uniforms are maintained to achieve required employee uniform standards. • Ensure the quality and use by dates of all uniforms are monitored and replaced as required. • Ensure all uniformed staff adhere to set policies and procedures when using uniforms. • Ensure all Wardrobe employees are trained in all aspects of operations. • Report accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and/or security issues to supervisors. • To Implement standardized systems, operational tools or execute audits. • Implement operational strategies to ensure quality and productivity. • Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: • 7 years or above in operating large scale wardrobe or uniform design experience • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial position of wardrobe/uniform department in a casino hotel/resort • Bachelor’s degree in Art / design or other related discipline. • Have a clear understanding of the uniform design development process. • Familiar with Asian casino markets & environments • Equivalent professional training is preferred. • Excellent interpersonal / presentation and communication skills. • Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results. • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high level of performance and exceed targets • Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faced projects and of working under pressure. • Proactive and innovative problem solver • Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Proficiency in Design Software such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign • Team player, who values teamwork, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees • Able to work on flexible shifts including overnight, weekends and holidays on rotation basis • Fluent in English • Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage • Self-motivated, well-organized, responsible, friendly and polite with excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment. • Able to multi-task.
