Job Title: Assistant Director - Housekeeping
Job Duties: • To oversee and ensure the Housekeeping Department is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement and adhere to Hotel’s policy and procedure • To ensure the level of service standards and cleanliness of the property, particularly the guest rooms, meet the set standard of the company • To ensure daily V.I.P rooms, special request rooms, long staying guest rooms for arrival are checked and in line with standard set-up by the company • Liaise with related departments on anticipated Guest check-ins, checkouts, room assignments and rooming list, and to be able to track guest history for better customer satisfaction • To ensure that all Housekeeping OS&E and FF&E items are properly inventoried and monitored • To assist with the preparation of the annual room business plan ensuring divisional objective fully concurring with the business objectives of the hotel and needs of employees • To assist with the preparation and regular update of the Housekeeping Department budget, in close cooperation with the management ensuring targets are met and costs are effectively controlled • Assist in develops and maintains written policy and procedures for Housekeeping and activities with other related units • Ensure employees adhere to all security procedures and practices and follow grooming standards • Ensure employees comply and have a complete understanding of rules and regulations, • To effectively communicate guiding principles and core values to all level of employees • Coordinate and monitor the preparation of department operating expenses • Create departmental training plans and write operating procedures for Housekeeping • Supervise, direct and lead the team to achieve department goals • Conduct daily briefings, meetings, and disseminate Company information to the team • Hire, train, supervise, and manage Housekeeping employees • To Implement standardized systems, operational tools or execute audits • Implement operational strategies to ensure quality and productivity. • Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: • Must have 7 years’ management level experience in Housekeeping operations in a 5 star hotel / well known property • Experience in mega resort/villa operation is an advantage • High school graduate or above • Equivalent professional training is preferred • Excellent interpersonal / presentation skills • Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high level of performance and exceed targets • Strong organizational and planning skills • Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faced projects and of working under pressure • Proactive and innovative problem solver • Team player, who values teamwork, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees • Fluent in English • Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage • Self-motivated, well-organized, responsible, friendly and polite with excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment. • Able to multi-task.
