Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Duties: 1. Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff and prepare, coordinate and oversee the duties performed by housekeeping staff. 2. Responsible for assigning duties to the housekeepers and enforce proper cleaning standards. 3. To ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all Bedrooms /corridors /function rooms public areas are maintained: 4. Supervising the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas to the highest standards. 5. This includes changing bed linen, replacing towels, cleaning bathrooms thoroughly, vacuuming, mopping and dusting daily. 6. Subject to levels of business the housekeeper will be expected to also service rooms and Ensuring the upkeep of vacant rooms and, replenishing brochures and paper goods throughout the bedrooms/hotel, Conduct random inspections of hotel rooms to ensure proper tasks are performed to company standards. 7. Keeps track of cleaning supplies and equipment and reorder items when there is a shortage. 8. Monitors supply inventory on regular basis to ensure proper delivery of cleaning services in a timely and efficient manner. 9. Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment. 10. May receive a list of rooms that must be cleaned immediately and must keep track of which rooms are clean and ready to be offered to guests. 11. Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints 12. Makes recommendations on how to improve the cleaning service or other issues that may result in more efficient cleaning operations. 13. Prepares reports concerning room occupancy, payroll, and department expenses. 14. Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and time cards, and prepares periodic reports. 15. Establishes and implement standards and work procedures for the housekeeping department. Investigate complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action. 16. Maintains required records of work hours, budgets, payroll and other information. 17. Sometimes may also perform cleaning duties in the event of an emergency short of staff. 18. Checks and maintain equipment to ensure that it is in working order. 19. Monitor all common areas free of hazard for guest use. 20. Advise manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy. 21. Performs other duties as assigned and determined by the Manager.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. At least one year of related work experienced in a hotel industry. Knowledge of principles and process for providing customer and personal service including handling large group of arrival. Must have the ability to supervise, experience performing housekeeping duties, hardworking, leadership ability, keen observation skills, and be detail oriented. Willing to work under pressure with the specified number of rooms or duties assigned in everyday. Ability to work on own initiative. Has the ability to be extent flexibility that included bending, twisting and lifting (Physically fit – the role requires medium to heavy lifting and some step ladder/ladder work). Computer literate, has knowledge in any Hotel-Housekeeping Software is a plus. Willing to work in flexible shifts, days, evenings, weekend and holidays. Be able to stand prolonged period of time and must possess a friendly and good manners.
