| Job Duties: | Determines work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedites workflow. Issues written and oral instructions. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. Adjusts errors and resolve complaints. Prepares and documents budget requests; administers adopted budget in department. Reviews private project development plans for compliance with codes, regulations and standards, adequacy of applications for permits and compliance with approved plans. Determines applicable codes, regulations and requirements for assigned projects.Provides project management for the construction of civil works projects. Oversees assigned projects to ensure contractor compliance with time and budget parameters for the project. Coordinates the preparation of or develops, reviews and updates related drawings, databases and comprehensive plans. Prepares and administers the department budget in assigned area of responsibility. Maintains the engineering library and infrastructure records. Assures as-built records of projects and documents necessary changes for the operation and maintenance program. Responds to public or other inquiries relative to engineering procedures on specific projects and other information. Performs related duties or responsibilities, as assigned or requested. | Qualification Requirements: | Bachelor's degree in Structural/ Civil Engineering. Experience in commercial or institutional facilities. Computer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, manufacturer selection software. Experience with Microsoft Project or related construction design programs. At least 4 years experience in building construction. Knowledge in recasting structure or similar construction methods. |
