| Job Duties: | Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting them to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution. Ensures the quality of operations in the Surveillance Department on assigned shift. Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property. Protects casino assets and gaming integrity, through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor. Directs the flow of surveillance reports to the proper individuals within the casino, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. Advises surveillance employees on assigned shift of duties and responsibilities, and ensures that they are completed in a timely, efficient manner. Reviews all daily activity reports and prepares shift reports for management. Coordinates, with the Security Department, when surveillance discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention. Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings. Observes, documents, videotapes and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property. Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution. Reviews surveillance tapes and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate casino officials and outside agencies, as needed. Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. Makes suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, with regard to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protection of casino assets in mind. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Education: Candidates must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Work Experience: Experience working as a Surveillance Supervisor or Manager. Knowledge of and experience with closed circuit television equipment preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good interpersonal and Communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need Must be able to work independently or with a team Proficient computer skills including e-mail, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), database, PowerPoint, presentation. Must possess excellent observational and communication skills. Must be able to detect schemes or cheating activity aimed at the casino or its guests. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents. Able to communicate effectively in English (Written/Spoken). |
