| Job Title: | Risk Engineer / Commercial Underwriter |
| Job Duties: | •Conducts inspection of risks in order to gather adequate underwriting information, as needed. •Prepares inspection or survey reports on inspected risks. •Prepares loss control survey reports for clients and discusses loss control recommendations to the clients, as needed. •Prepares the necessary quotations and proposals in order to generate new and renewal business in accordance with existing underwriting guidelines and within the limits of authority of the branch. •Entertains phone-in queries and walk-in clients. Pre-qualifies and analyzes coverage needed and makes appropriate recommendations on needed insurance coverage. •Reviews the branch’s monthly expiry list in order to ensure the timely renewal of all commercial lines policies. •Reviews the current client coverage and recommends changes in the coverage to the client as needed to ensure adequate protection on their properties. •Conducts meetings and insurance proposal presentations with clients, as needed. •Prepares and issues policies and endorsements of the branch on various P&C commercial lines accounts. •Signs policies and endorsements based limits of underwriting authority granted. •Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals using the computerized system. •Ensures the attachment of pertinent documents to all issued policies and endorsements into the Insoft system file of the account. •Assists the Branch Manager in the preparation of the monthly Branch Production Report and Agency Operations Report, as needed. |

| Qualification Requirements: | •Must have 5 years or more work experience as Property & Casualty commercial lines underwriter. •Must have at least 5 years work experience in risk management and risk inspection. •Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. |
