| Job Duties: | • Basic principles, techniques, and methods of landscape architectural design, construction, installation, and maintenance associated with grading, drainage, irrigation, planting, and construction detailing. • Landscape construction and maintenance methods, materials, terminology, and equipment. • Trigonometry as applied to the computation of angles, areas, distances, and traverses. • Modern developments, current literature, and sources of information regarding landscape design and construction. • Basic principles of technical report writing. • Prepare basic landscape architectural plans including profiles, sketches, color renderings, scale drawings, and specifications. • Prepare technical construction specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates. • Read survey notes and figures quickly and accurately; perform complex mathematical calculations. • Use and care for drafting instruments and equipment. • Maintain current and organized project files. • Prepare complete and effective written reports. • Make effective oral presentations. |
