| Job Duties: | JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW Bridge Capital is a Saipan-based international company engaged in financial services, consulting, hospitality and entertainment, and real estate development with over 120 subsidiaries and affiliates in the United States and its territories, Thailand, Laos, Macau, Cambodia, the Philippines, the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Curacao, Aruba and elsewhere. We are seeking a highly qualified senior attorney with deep general litigation experience to take charge of its many ongoing international litigation matters, while assisting, directing and managing the various outside counsel working on our behalf. The Deputy General Counsel for Litigation will report directly to the principals of Bridge Capital and shall work together with its General Counsel and other executive staff. This position will require the successful candidate to get “hands on” in managing complex litigation matters around the world, providing strategic planning, advice, and counsel as required in judicial proceedings, particularly, international arbitration proceedings conducted through the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes and the Singapore International Arbitration Center, among others. Bridge Capital’s headquarters is on the island of Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. However, we are willing to discuss options for a highly-qualified candidate to work remotely at another site in Asia or on the US mainland. Salary will be in the range of US$ 200K+, commensurate with experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage, direct and provide oversight for all of the company’s litigation, including working with outside counsel and developing overall case strategies. • Evaluate and determine the needs for internal litigation staff, then propose and execute a cost-effective staffing plan in order to substantially reduce the Company’s outside counsel costs. • Provide advice and counsel to the principals and executive staff to help solve complex legal problems. • Engage, direct and manage outside counsel to efficiently resolve disputes and manage all aspects of outside counsel relationships, including: staffing, litigation strategy, budgets, work product, discovery and developing initiatives for reducing outside counsel spend. • Coordinate with the principals and the GC on periodic reporting on litigation results, budgets, forecasts, exposure analysis and litigation strategies. • Other special projects and responsibilities based on the skills and interests of the candidate and needs within the company. |

| Qualification Requirements: | JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, or equivalent educational credentials appropriate for the jurisdiction where you are licensed. Licensure: Member in good standing with any U.S. State bar, or a member in good standing with the bar of the United Kingdom, Singapore, or Hong Kong. Experience: • Attorney with 8+ years of experience in an in-house legal department and/or a law firm handling complex commercial litigation with a track record of successful trial experience. • Experience with cross-border investor and/or foreign direct investment disputes preferred. • Experience with international litigation and/or arbitration preferred. • Experience working in the Asia region preferred. • Demonstrated record for success strategizing, handling and managing complex commercial disputes to successful resolution. • Experience handling real property, tax, debt & security, and/or bankruptcy related litigation matters is a plus. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Natural ownership instincts—manifested by a desire to take responsibility for, and guide collaborative solutions to, complex matters. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ‘hands-on’ style, and willingness to proactively engage with peers while maintaining an open-minded approach. • Ability to manage both large-scale and small scale projects. • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement in order to implement new ideas or strategies, or to identify and address process gaps or problems. • Ability to work well with business people in identifying, quantifying and balancing risks and rewards. • Demonstrated attention to detail, discretion and experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information. • Familiarity with e-discovery issues, including document retention policies and procedures, third party subpoena compliance and law enforcement requests for user information and corporate records. • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards. |
