| Job Duties: | Primary Technical resource for the Business Sales Team (Business Sales Account Executives) to achieve the department’s goals through technical designs and deployment. Reports directly to the Sales Manager and is the key technical advisor for Sales projects and plans. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supports sales team through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities • Interfaces with customers to determine short and long-term technical requirements • Designs voice and data network solutions for customer applications, including preparation of network topologies and technical specifications • Prepares and presents technical proposals on Docomo Pacific's products and services, as well as how those products can be integrated and implemented within customer's network • Responsible for all technical content of the proposal process, including RFI, RFQ and RFP responses and technical designs • Conducts customer site surveys as required to insure successful installation of services • Provides technical sales support to insure successful customer integration and implementation of company solutions • Handles complex questions encountered during installation and turn-up concerning solution design and equipment operation • Surveys Business facility to provide or enhance customer business communication needs. • Responsible for developing technical designs for customer’s infrastructure. • Responsible for responding to technical element in bid packages to include but not limited to RFP’s RFQ’s. • Communicates technical plans and layouts internally with other departments that Sales depends on for assistance or additional technical support. • Must have a broad knowledge of the organization’s services, resources, policies and procedures to quickly resolve issues to the satisfaction of the customer. • Is responsible to trouble shoot cellular, roaming and long distance problems. • Is responsible to trouble shoot internet, cable, and land line issues. • Deploys all end piece equipment including but not limited to phone systems, network equipment, wiring, etc. to customers once the contract is signed and submitted. • Coordinates the project planning from pre-sale to post-sale support including working with the various technical teams to complete the required scope of work respective to each customer contract for services. • Ability to work on Weekends, Holidays, and after hours as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned. | Qualification Requirements: | QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, individual must be self- motivated with a proven track record in technical sales designs and knowledge of technology. Must articulate and possess strong and professional communication skills to communicate technical designs and business solutions when responding to customers, emails, RFP’s and when submitting reports. Must be organized and analytical and should be able to eliminate technical objectives through other technical solutions. Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. NECESSARY SKILLS: • Requires three or more years of Sales Engineering and networking experience in the telecom or service provider industry • An ability to work closely with sales executives with a proven knowledge of the sales cycle • Excellent verbal and written communications skills • Strong sales skills in presentation and proposal design • Strong knowledge of general industry networking technologies such as TCP/IP, IP VPN, MPLS, VPLS, Ethernet, VoIP, SONET, DWDM • Familiar with various networking fundamentals related to routers, switches, LAN, MAN, WAN, DS3, OC-x, CSU/DSU and other CPE • Consultative approach to providing customer solutions and design with strong knowledge of converged multimedia applications • Extensive voice networking experience with emphasis on VoIP, signaling protocols and PBX • Extensive experience with routing protocols such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF, RIP as well as knowledge of emerging technologies • Ability to multi task and meet multiple deadlines • Proficient in MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project • PC and MAC Proficiency • Exception organizational skills • Knowledge of MIND (As trained) • Knowledge of eJOBS CAF Tracker • Knowledge of RR • Knowledge of JudoFrog NECESSARY TRAITS: • Pleasant personality • Ability to work with others in a team environment • Understand role within team • Ability to work under pressure and with varying types of corporate customers • Must be a self-motivated with the ability to make decisions as required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or equivalent training, education and experience. Telecommunications industry experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
