| Job Duties: | Summary: This position reports directly to the Manager of Technical Operations CNMI. This position is mainly responsible for Customer related installations and service calls. This position requires individuals to access aerial/underground equipment and may require operating and working from Aerial Lift Devices. The use of various hand and power tools will also be expected of service technicians as they perform their daily duties and requires all individuals to work various shifts in various weather conditions. This position is responsible for all tasks associated with the CATV drop system to include the following: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Installation of new premises wiring · Disconnection of dropline · De-installation “Wreckout” of dropline systems · Reconnection of previous customers. · Installation of advance services such as high speed internet, Digital, and VOIP phone service. · Troubleshoot and repair all problems occurring within the CATV drop system from the output of the distribution tap to all terminal points within a drop system. · Understand the proper operation of customer premises equipment such as analog boxes, High speed internet modems and be able to educate customers on its proper use. · Monitor for and document CATV leakage. · Creates CLI leak reports and repairs leakage as requires. · Leads crew as assigned. · Repair sources of CATV leakage from distribution tap to CPE in customers home. · Be able to lift 75 lbs. extension ladder. · Perform Audit of questionable connections to distribution taps. · Perform sales of new services or upgrades of existing customers. · Works safely and follows all OSHA, NEC, and company safety rules and procedures. · Must keep accurate record of daily task · Must have a accurate count of tools and equipments used (inventory) · Must have excellent customer skills · All other duties as assigned. |
