| Job Duties: | Splice overhead, underground or submarine multiple conductor transmission cable used in telephone and telegraph communication and electric power transmission system. Climbs utility poles or tower. Utilizes truck mounted lifts bucket or installed cable to gain acces to defectives cable connection using hack saw. Cuts and peels lead sheath and insulation from newly installed cable and conductors preparation to splicing. Test (traces or phase out) each conductor to identify corresponding conductors in adjoining cable section, acording to eletrical diagrams and speifications. Other related duties. |
