Job Title: CHILDCARE WORKERS
Job Duties: ATTEND TO CHILDREN AT CHILDCARE CENTER. PERFORM VARIETY OF TASKS, SUCH AS DRESSING, FEEDING, BATHING, AND OVERSEEING PLAY. MAINTAIN A SAFE PLAY ENVIRONMENT. OBSERVE AND MONITOR CHILDREN'S PLAY ACTIVITIES. COMMUNICATE, VERBAL OR WRITTEN, WITH CHILDREN'S PARENTS OR GUARDIANS ABOUT DAILY ACTIVITIES, BEHAVIORS, PROGRESS OF CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT AND ASSESSMENT, AND RELATED ISSUES. SUPPORT CHILDREN'S EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT, ENCOURAGING UNDERSTANDING OF OTHERS AND POSITIVE SELF-CONCEPTS. CARE FOR CHILDREN IN CHILDCARE CENTER SETTING. ARRANGE ROOM TO ENCOURAGE LEARNING AND ENSURING PHYSICAL SAFETY OF CHILDREN. PROVIDE COUNSEL, COMFORT, OR ENCOURAGEMENT TO INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILIES. ASSIST CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. MUST BE WILLING TO PLAY WITH CHILDREN OUTDOOR IN THE MORNING AND AFTERNOON (ACTIVITIES, SPORTS, DANCING AND SINGING), CLEAN, SANITIZE, AND ARRANGE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS. PREPARE QUARTERLY OR TRIMESTER CHILD ASSESSMENT REPORT TO COMPLY WITH STANDARDS ON CHILD CARE LICENSING PROGRAM (LOCAL AND FEDERAL) AND QUALITY RATING IMPROVEMENT. UPDATE DAILY OR ASAP LOGBOOK ON OBSERVATIONS, ASSESSMENTS, OR INCIDENTS NOTED DURING THE SHIFT. PERFORMANCE OF DAILY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SHOULD COMPLY WITH CNMI CCDF QUALITY RATING IMPROVEMENT SYSTEM (ITERS, ECERS, SACERS, AND PAS.) PROVIDE LOG INFORMATION TO DIRECTOR, DAILY. PERFORM RELATED OTHER DUTIES AS NECESSARY.

Qualification Requirements: WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED IS 12 MONTHS, CURRENT AND PROGRESSIVE IN CHILD CARE SETTING. INFANT TODDLER CERTIFICATION IS BIG PLUS FACTOR. EXPERIENCE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD IS BIG PLUS FACTOR. GOOD ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS (TO PREPARE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS FOR DAILY REPORTS AND OBSERVATIONS. ENGLISH IS THE OFFICIAL LAGUAGE IN THE CNMI). MICROSOFT WORD AND EXCEL USER. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT(S) IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT AT LEAST TWO (2) RECOMMENDATION LETTERS FROM PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT (DIRECT SUPERVISOR OR HR), WHICH MUST INCLUDE A STATEMENT ON WORK RELIABILITY, PUNCTUALITY, ATTENDANCE, AND WORK ETHICS. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT(S) WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE TWO (2) LETTER OF REFERENCES FROM NON-FAMILY MEMBERS. REQUIRED BY CNMI LICENSING OFFICE BEFORE ALLOWED TO WORK IN ANY CENTER: *POLICE CLEARANCE, CPR, SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY NOTIFICATION ACT, AND FOOD HANDLER CERTIFICATE. *REQUIRED BY CHILD CARE DEVELOPMENT FUND PROGRAM WITHIN 90 DAYS FROM START OF WORK: COMPLETE AND PASS THE 12 TOPICS OF PRE-SERVICE TRAININGS.
