Job Title: | CIVIL ENGINEER/ CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR |
Job Duties: | Provides inspector services on a variety of construction management project lasting day's months, or years; Confirms works performed by Contractor meets FHWA Code, Building Code, safety requirements and all U.S. and CNMI codes and regulations; Research construction information and document findings in a timely manner and reports discrepancies to the Project Manager/Construction Manager; Performs specific tasks and/or limited portions of broader general assignments from detailed instruction; Seeks approval from the Project Manager/Construction Manager for any changes to project scope or additional inspection services are needed or required; Ensure inspection reports are accurate and reflect work of COntractor; Must be able to read construction drawings and specifications to ensure proper materials and procedures are followed; Reviews plans and specifications and make comments as required and reports discrepancies to Project Manager/Construction Manager; Prepares daily reports and reviews contractors' daily reports, specifications, plan construction schedules and designs for project as needed or require; Ensures that work performed is within scope of project; and Must be able to attend project program meetings. |

Qualification Requirements: | With a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Degree in Construction Management; With at least TWO yearS of previous construction experience; Computer and Internet literate; Knowledgeable with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel; Must be able to monitor multiple project assignments; With proven and applied knowledge of appropriate codes, laws, and regulations. |
