Job Title: Waitress/Waiter
Job Duties: Report to duty punctually wearing correct uniform, clean and well pressed including appropriate shoes (polished) and nametag at all times. Complete Opening duties and procedures established for the assigned restaurant. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Be knowledgeable and understanding of all food and beverage items offered by the restaurant. Be able to answer questions on menu selections. Have knowledge and understanding to perform up-selling all items offered by the restaurant assigned as well as offering alternatives. Record transaction in POS system at the time of order. Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. Handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. Report guest complaints immediately to the supervisors and ensuring follow up is performed with the guest. Pick-Up trays and clean tables as needed to ensure a clean dining area. Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day. Maintain Cleanliness of work and guest areas by cleaning, collecting and returning food and beverage items to proper area. Monitor operating supplies, equipment and reduce spoilage and wastage successfully. Inspect storage areas for organization and use of FIFO. Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies. Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. Complete work orders for maintenance repairs. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identify, recommend, develop and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings. Attend and contribute to all staff meetings, department trainings and hotel initiated trainings scheduled. Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by supervisor. Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the hotel management. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisor. Project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control. Perform any special project and duties assigned by Supervisor and Management

Qualification Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Have at least three months of work related experience. Able to demonstrate specific skills: 1. active listening-Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions are appropriate, and not interrupting in appropriate times. 2. Service Orientation- Actively looking for ways to help other 3. Speaking-Talking to others to convey information effectively 4. Be able and willing to work in flexible shifts, days, evening, night, weekend and holidays.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing August 01, 2020 to July 31, 2021 THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total of number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period and begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment of the advertised contractual first dat of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon the completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
