Job Duties: | Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Plan a daily menu. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience. Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Do inventory and purchases of supplies and menu ingredients. Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils. Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption. Preparing quality pastry items such as breakfast items, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets, creams, simple syrups, amenities, displays/centerpieces and special request items. Prepare dessert menu; bake pastries and dessert entries. Do other related duties as assigned from time to time. |

Qualification Requirements: | High School graduate. Minimum of 1 year work related experience. Able to work independently. Familiar in preparation of international cuisine such as American, Korean, Filipino & other saleable menus specially pastries and desserts. Vocational training in the area of food service is preferred but not required. Must be able to secure CNMI Department of Public Healths food handler certificate. Able to work all shifts and flexible schedules including weekends and holidays |
