Job Title: Auto Body Repairer
Job Duties: Repair and refinish automotive vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames. Follow supervisors' instructions as to which parts to restore or replace and how much time the job should take. Review damage reports, prepare or review repair cost estimates, and plan work to be performed. Sand body areas to be painted and cover bumpers, windows, and trim with masking tape or paper to protect them from the paint. Fit and weld replacement parts into place, using wrenches and welding equipment, and grind down welds to smooth them, using power grinders and other tools. Prime and paint repaired surfaces, using paint spray guns and motorized sanders. Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting guns, air grinders and wrenches, and install replacement parts using wrenches or welding equipment. Chain or clamp frames and sections to alignment machines that use hydraulic pressure to align damaged components. Fill small dents that cannot be worked out with plastic or solder. File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle bodies and fenders.

Qualification Requirements: Critical Thinking: Auto body techs must be able to look at a damage vehicle and assess what it will take to repair it, as well as cost. Customer Service: Working with customers in a stressful situation, like after an accident needs to be handled calmly and in a friendly way. Attention to Detail: Having good eyes for detail is necessary when trying to get a car back to looking like new. Dexterity: Auto body techs need free range of motion in their hands and arms to work with small parts and small spaces. Technical Skills: Auto body techs use a wide range of tools and equipment to assess and repair cars.

Comments: • The place of employment will be at Oleai, Saipan. Applicants will be reasonably expected to reside within the area of the place of employment to perform the services or labor as advertised. • Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5 x the rate indicated on the JVA • The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck as required by law, as well as other deductions for selected employee benefits, including health, vision, dental, life insurance and 401 (K) subject to each company’s conditions • The employer guarantees under paragraph (f)(1) to offer each employee employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the employee at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any.
