| Job Duties: | Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain grounds commercial or public property and perform any combination of the following tasks: cuts lawns using hand or power mowers, trims and edge around walks, flower beds and walls, prunes trees to shape and improve growth, and spray with fertilizer. Gather and remove litter. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage. Plant seed, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools. Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and planters. |
