Job Title: Hardware Sales Associates
Job Duties: • Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs. • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires. Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options. • Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payment. Process POS (point of sale) purchases. • Prepare merchandise for purchase or rental. • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection. • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices. • Demonstrate use or operation of merchandise. • Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers. • Ticket, arrange, and display merchandise to promote sales. Build modules, displays, stock shelves, mix customer required paint orders, assist customers, and complete sales. • Inventory stock and requisition new stock. • Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returns. • Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations. Ensured a safe working and shopping environment by adhering to all safety policies and standards. Does other related duties as may be assigned.

Qualification Requirements: 1. 12 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE ON THE SAME POSITION. 2. MUST HAVE A GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND MATHEMATICAL ABILITY. 3. MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE A MANUAL PAINT COLORANT MIXING MACHINE. 4. MUST BE KNOWLEDGEABLE IN COUNTERPOINT POINT OF SALE MS DOS OPERATIONS. 5. MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE PERSONAL COMPUTER WITH MICROSOFT WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM. 6. MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE WEB-BASED EMAILS AND COMPOSE REPLIES EMAIL QUERIES. 7. MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT, CARRY AND MOVE HEAVY OBJECTS AT LEAST 90 LBS. IN WEIGHT.

Comments: The job position is a temporary, full–time position with one (1) year duration. Work hours will be from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays of every week but may vary depending on the work assignments given by the immediate supervisors or managers. The place of employment will be at 6400 TAC Building, Middle Road, Chalan Laulau, Saipan. Applicants will be expected to live within reasonable proximity to the place of employment to perform the work as required by this vacancy announcement. The selected applicant will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If the hired applicant completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the hired applicant's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the hired applicant is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the hired applicant originally departed to work, except where the hired applicant will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a hired applicant's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Worker will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Daily transportation from the residence of workers to the worksite is not provided. Overtime work and pay is available, and overtime hours are paid at a rate of 1.5 times that of the offered hourly rate in this vacancy announcement. Overtime hours shall begin to accrue after the 40 hour of work within a calendar week beginning on Sunday and ending on Saturday. On-the-job training is not provided. Board, lodging or other facilities are not provided as part of compensation for this vacancy announcement.
